Antonia N. Okonkwo
Ms. Okonkwo is a native of Nigeria. She was born in Bamenda, Cameroon.
In Nigeria, law is studied as an undergraduate and advance degree together in a six year program. Ms. Okonkwo received her Bachelor of Laws degree (LL.B.) from the University of Nigeria, Nigeria where she graduated Magna Cum Laude. At the University of Nigeria, She was the Chief Judge of the Law Student High Court (LAWSA). She earned a Bachelor of Laws degree (B.L.) from Nigerian Law School, Abuja, Nigeria where she graduated Magna Cum Laude. At the Nigerian Law School, she received the prestigious Justice Kayode’s Esho’s prize in Professional Ethics as the best Student in Professional Ethics. Ms. Okonkwo relocated to the United States and earned a Masters of Laws degree (LL.M.) in Tax Law from The University of Alabama, Tuscaloosa.
Ms. Okonkwo is admitted to practice law in Georgia, Tennessee, New York, and Nigeria. She practices residential and commercial real estate law in The Gilroy Firm’s corporate office. She is a member of the Real Property Law and Tax Law Section of the State Bar of Georgia. She is also a member of the Georgia Association of Black Women Attorneys.
In addition to residential and commercial real estate law practice, Ms. Okonkwo has experience in General Business Law, Tax Law, Immigration Law, and General Civil Litigation.
Ms. Okonkwo has a passion for practicing law and teaching. She is a frequent lecturer in the Atlanta immigrant community on emerging legal issues. She is an active volunteer and teacher at her church.
